In front of the coming Lok Sabha elections, the Union cabinet on Thursday chose to give PM-KISAN recipients another portion of Rs 2000 from April 1.
Conversing with columnists after a gathering of the Union bureau, Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said it had been chosen to loosen up the condition under which ranchers needed to indicate Aadhaar number for checking their character to get the second portion.
He said that Aadhar seeding can’t occur in time for the arrival of second portion and it had been chosen to loosen up the standard. The administration had made Aadhaar number of little and negligible ranchers discretionary for benefiting the primary portion of Rs 2,000 under Rs 75,000 crore PM-Kisan conspire.

The Center had reported the PM-KISAN conspire in the 2019-20 Interim Budget. Under this, Rs 6,000 will be paid to 12 crore little and peripheral ranchers holding cultivable place that is known for up to two hectares for each year in three portions.
Prasad said the ranchers had been profited to the tune of Rs 2100 crore with the arrival of first portion.
