Delhi government welcomes amendment in RTE Bill

Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday respected the section of Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (Amendment) Bill in Parliament.In a progression of tweets, Sisodia said the presentation of no detainment without changing showing rehearses, books, assessment framework and legitimate educators preparing was a “terrible thought and it is a right advance to scrap it”.He said that the Delhi government was among the first to contradict the no confinement policy.”I welcome the entry of RTE (Amendment) Bill in Parliament which scraps the seriously actualized no confinement approach till Class 8 understudies. “Delhi government was among the first to restrict no confinement arrangement. In the wake of assuming control as (the) Education Minister in February 2015, I had kept in touch with then HRD Minister to limit it till Class 3,” he said.The Rajya Sabha on Thursday passed the RTE (Amendment) Bill that gets rid of the no-confinement strategy.
