Expressing that her party would keep on contradicting the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, West Bengal boss priest and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee said she would not enable the BJP to make Hindu-Muslim mobs in her state.
She was responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ask for looking for the TMC’s help for the entry of the bill at a rally in Thakunagar in Bengal’s North 24 Parganas region.
“The Center should pull back the Citizenship Bill. There is no doubt of supporting it. We will contradict it. We won’t let him (Modi) succeed,” Banerjee said.
Asserting that shared legislative issues is thriving, Banerjee revealed to News18 the upper east is consuming over the issue of National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the BJP is endeavoring to toss out Bengali-talking individuals from Assam for the sake of NRC.
