Trading started positive in the stock market, but the sell-off increased by the end of the trading session and the Bombay Stock Exchange’s 30-share index Sensex closed down 80.32 points at 36,644.42. The Nifty of the National Exchange closed at 10847.90 with a slight gain of 3 points.
The BSE Sensex opened 97 points higher at 36,821.71 in the morning. The NSE Nifty opened 16 points higher at 10,860. In early trading on the stock market, the Sensex gained 105.65 points to reach 36,830.39 around 9.45 am. The Nifty also gained 0.33% to 10,880.30.
A day earlier, on Wednesday, the RBI has directed all banks to link home loans, personal loans and MSME sector to all new floating rate loans with external standards including repo rate.
