Due to Fault Rectification;Maruti Suzuki Recalls 50k Swift & Baleno Cars

Maruti Suzuki has announced a recall for the newest Swift and also the Baleno in India. The business has said that a total of 52,686 units have now been affected. Maruti Suzuki India said so it will undertake something campaign for new Swift and Baleno models to inspect for a possible fault in the brake vacuum hose.

The Baleno has been earlier recalled in May 2016 for a faulty airbag issue as well.

The new Swift and Baleno vehicles manufactured between December 1, 2017 and March 16, 2018 are the affected lot and will be covered under the campaign. Starting May 14 2018, owners of the vehicles one of them service campaign will be contacted by dealers for inspection and replacement of the faulty part.

Service Campaigns are undertaken globally by automobile companies to rectify faults that’ll potentially cause inconvenience to customers. The inspection and replacement will be done free of cost for the customer.

This isn’t initially the Baleno has been recalled.It was in May 2016, that the organization recalled 75,419 units of the Baleno for issue with the airbags. Out of those 75,419 Baleno’s 15,995 cars are diesel variants that were manufactured between August 3, 2015 and March 22, 2016 and will also be attended to for inspection and replacement of a faulty fuel filter.
