Rajasthan Royals to wear pink jersey in IPL 2019

Rajasthan Royals will be following the huge response of the fans last season and the deep connection between the color and the state of Rajasthan. Jaipur is known as the Pink City, Jodhpur is famous for pink sandstone and Udaipur produces pink marble. Therefore, Rajasthan Royals announced that the former champions will sport pink jersey in the 12th edition of the IPL. which will also help fans to identify and celebrate their team.

“We are very pleased to announce our official color as PINK. This is an exciting change for us and marks a strategic move towards our goal of incorporating our brand – a fan-driven team that finds ways to win from anywhere.” Manoj Badale, Lead owner, Rajasthan Royals.

Rajasthan Royals also announced the return of the First Royal in another exciting role, that of a Royal Brand Ambassador. Warne will make several trips to India to help the Royals set up Pink, build their international fanbase and inspire Royals’ sponsors with his exceptional cricket knowledge and vision.

Shane Warne has been very close to the team by leading the team to win the 2008 title in the opening year. His team-work, dedication, and intensity with which he has led a number of teenagers to dizzying successes is part of cricketing folklore.

Warne is excited to be back with the Royals in a new role, “I’m very happy to be back with the Royals and I’m grateful to the team and the fans for their constant support. It was important for us to retain our established values but at the same time develop a new and modern identity.
